Shavonne Austin

Shavonne Austin currently serves as the Chief of the Executive Secretariat Division at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), a position held since March 2019. Prior to this role, Shavonne worked at NTSB as an Internal Controls Officer from September 2006 to March 2019, managing the Management Accountability and Control program to ensure compliance with the Federal Manager’s Financial Integrity Act. Additional experience includes a role as a Human Resources Specialist focused on information systems, as well as administrative positions at the US Department of Health and Human Services and NTSB’s Aviation Safety division. Shavonne's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master of Science in Management Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, supplemented by a program at the Partnership for Public Service.
