Ted Lawson

Ted Lawson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ted started their career in 1969 with US Airways, where they held various managerial roles in sales and operations. In 1974, Lawson joined Servico Hotel Management as a Regional Director. Ted then served on the Board of Directors for TRAVEL TRUST INTERNATIONAL from 1978 to 1982. Lawson later became involved in the travel industry, holding executive positions at National Travel/American Express and National Travel, where they served as CEO and Majority Stock Holder/Chairman of the Board. Ted also served on multiple boards, including the Charleston Area Alliance, Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and University of Charleston. Overall, Lawson has extensive leadership experience and a strong background in the travel and hospitality sectors.

Ted Lawson attended the University of Charleston from 1974 to 1978, where they studied Business. In 1987, they briefly attended the Wharton School of Business to further their knowledge in the field. Additionally, Ted Lawson completed a program at the International Certified Travel Academy, specializing in Destination Studies. Ted also gained knowledge in Transportation through coursework at Moraine Valley Community College.
