Georgina Gates

Georgina Gates has extensive experience in the museum and cultural heritage sector, currently serving as Collections & House Manager at the National Trust since April 2012, where responsibilities have included roles as Project Curator and House & Collections Manager for South East Cumbria & Morecambe Bay. Prior positions include Museum Manager at Lancashire County Council from April 2010 to April 2012 and a brief stint as a Cataloger at Scarborough Museums Trust in early 2010. Georgina's career began with intern roles at the Southbank Centre and Axis (The Online Resource for Contemporary Art) in 2009 and 2008, respectively, alongside serving as a Conservation Assistant at the National Trust from 2006 to 2008. Georgina holds a Master's degree in Art Gallery & Museum Studies as well as a BA Honours in Fine Art, both from the University of Leeds.
