James Fuller is an experienced professional in estate management and rural surveying, currently serving as the Head of Estate Management and Rural Surveying at the National Trust since October 2017. In this role, James leads the Rural Surveying and Estate Management service, providing strategic advice to Directors and Trustees on sustainable estate management practices. Prior to this, James held various positions at the National Trust from 1998 to 2017, including Senior Rural Asset Manager, Consultancy Manager, and Rural Surveyor, where responsibilities encompassed maximizing land potential, resolving disputes, and managing diverse properties across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. James began a career at the Duchy of Cornwall as an Assistant Rural Surveyor from 1996 to 1998, following education at the Royal Agricultural University from 1993 to 1996.
