James Wood

James Wood is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud computing and infrastructure management. Currently serving as a Microsoft Cloud Specialist at the National Trust since August 2016, James is involved in the migration of legacy systems to Microsoft Azure as part of a major IT restructuring initiative. Previously, James founded and operated BlueOid Ltd, an IT software and services company, focusing on Microsoft solutions and cloud migration from January 2015 to August 2016. James has also held positions such as Team Lead at IBM United Kingdom Ltd and Technical Lead at Microsoft, where responsibilities included supporting Windows Server and identity technologies, as well as leading software engineering teams. Early career experience includes work as an Electronics Engineer at Panasonic, managing repairs for various office automation products. James holds a City and Guilds degree in Digital and Microcomputer Electronics from Canterbury College of Technology.
