Mark Chester

Mark Chester currently serves as a Service Assistant at the National Trust since February 2024. Prior to this, Mark worked as a Freelance Editor at BMJ from May to November 2024 and as a Medical Writer at Klarity from March 2023 until May 2024. Additionally, Mark held the position of Medical Researcher at Irwin Mitchell for a short duration in late 2023. Mark's extensive medical career includes serving as a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at NHS England from August 2010 to December 2022, as well as a Clinical Research Fellow at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust from June 2019 to January 2022, where research focused on Pre-term Labour. Earlier experiences include working as a Teaching Fellow at Royal Derby Hospital, blending clinical practice with medical education. Mark obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2024 and previously earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the same institution in 2006.
