Denis O'Connor MSCS MRICS currently serves as the Director of Real Estate at the University of Galway since October 2021. Prior to this role, Denis held significant positions such as Head of Asset Management and Asset Manager at Bartra Capital Property Group from April 2018 to October 2021, focusing on high-quality property solutions across various sectors. Denis has extensive experience in property and asset management, previously working as Property & Asset Management Director in Private Equity and serving as Executive Director - Asset Management & Operations at TDIC, where management of diverse commercial assets and operations was a key responsibility. As CEO of Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties LLC, Denis managed a vast portfolio of 55,000 leases valued at €3 billion, following a tenure as CEO at Irish Estates, overseeing the management of 52 million SQM of commercial real estate in Europe. Educational qualifications include degrees in Property Valuation from Technological University Dublin and DIT Bolton Street, alongside ongoing professional affiliations with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.
