Mark Howard is a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in Maths & Applied Maths at the University of Galway, a position held since January 2019. Previously, Mark has served as a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Sheffield and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo. Mark's academic journey began at NUI Maynooth, where a focus on Quantum Information Theory earned an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship. Mark completed a Ph.D. in Physics with a concentration in Quantum Information Theory at UC Santa Barbara and holds an M.Sc. in Mathematical Physics from NUI Maynooth, alongside a B.Sc. in Applied Maths & Physics from the University of Galway.
