Neil Ferguson

Neil Ferguson currently serves as the Head of Entrepreneurial Development at the University of Galway, overseeing the Blackstone LaunchPad International programme aimed at nurturing student and alumni entrepreneurs. Previously, Neil held the position of Industry Programme and Business Development Manager at the Centre for Research in Medical Devices (CÚRAM), focusing on innovative medical device development. Prior to CÚRAM, Neil was the Commercialization Manager and Acting Director at NUI Galway, where leadership in life sciences, ICT, and engineering commercialization initiatives was demonstrated. Neil also gained valuable experience in business development at Mayo Clinic Ventures, enhancing insights into the global commercialization of medical devices. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Design Thinking and Innovation from the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
