Guan Shyh Yam

Guan Shyh Yam currently serves as the Deputy Director and Head of the Emergency Management Division at the Office of Safety, Health & Environment at the National University of Singapore, a position held since June 2006, focusing on emergency preparedness, fire and life safety, and business continuity. Prior to this role, Guan Shyh Yam spent over twenty-five years in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Senior Army Officer, where various leadership, staff, instructional, training, auditing, and testing roles were undertaken. Guan Shyh Yam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from the National University of Singapore between 1983 and 1987.
