Joan Poh Ling Sim

Joan Poh Ling Sim is an accomplished professional in the field of technology transfer and biomedical research, currently serving as Assistant Senior Manager at the National University of Singapore since December 2022. With extensive experience in healthcare technologies commercialization and Intellectual Property protection, Joan aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge biomedical research and practical community benefits. Previously, as Program Manager at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Joan played a pivotal role in the national brain donation and tissue repository program and oversaw data governance and compliance with relevant regulations. Joan's early career includes a position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Neuroscience Institute, leading a group in Drosophila genetics and enhancing laboratory protocols, along with a role as Project Officer at Nanyang Technological University. Joan holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Neurosciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Nanyang Technological University, alongside a Diploma in Biotechnology from Singapore Polytechnic.
