Matthew Chang

Matthew Chang currently serves as the Executive Director at the National Centre for Engineering Biology in Singapore since October 2023. In addition, Matthew holds the position of Co-Chair for the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on the Future of Synthetic Biology since April 2023. As a Director, Matthew contributes to the NUS Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation, Wilmar-NUS Corporate Laboratory, and SINERGY, Singapore Consortium for Synthetic Biology, all roles held since various points in 2014 and 2017. Matthew is also a Provost's Chair and Professor at the National University of Singapore since November 2013. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's Degree from Seoul National University.
