Timur Sabitov

Timur Sabitov currently serves as the Head of the project management unit at the National Climate Center within the Ministry of Ecology since March 2023, while also holding the position of Lecturer at Central Asian Green University and Faculty Lecturer at the National University of Uzbekistan since 2020. As a Doctoral Student at the National University of Uzbekistan, Timur teaches GIS and provides teaching assistance for Soil Physics and Geography of Uzbekistan. Previous experience includes working as a Hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey, focusing on sediment fingerprinting and hydrologic modeling, and intern roles involving data analysis using R. Early career experience includes positions as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics and visiting research roles at Universität Bern and Moscow State University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Science from the National University of Uzbekistan, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the State University of New York, and a Master of Science in Hydrology of Arid Lands from the National University of Uzbekistan.
