Mike Martin

Mike Martin has extensive work experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Mike started their career in 1978 as an Operations Manager at Bekins Van Lines, where they managed personnel and ensured timely coverage of freight and fleet profitability. Mike worked across various departments, including customer service, fleet finance, and claims, before leaving in 1999.

In 2000, Martin served as the Director of Operations at Transportation Solutions Inc, overseeing all aspects of customer traffic and working with the traffic department to ensure orders were scheduled and covered with quality operators.

From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Loan Officer/Processor at World Wide Mortgage Group before returning to the transportation industry as an Operations Manager at Bekins Van Lines from 2009 to 2012.

In 2012, Martin joined Tantara Transportation Group, Inc. as the Branch Manager, where they oversaw warehouse and local transportation operations within a 400-mile radius.

Since 2013, they have been associated with National Van Lines, first as an Associate from 2013 to 2017, then as an Operations Manager from 2017 to 2021. Currently, Martin holds the position of Director of Operations, where they utilize their operational and analytical skills to manage projects from planning to completion.

Mike Martin attended Richard J Daley Community College from 1971 to 1972. Mike pursued a degree in General Studies but did not obtain a degree during this time.
