Heather Torres, RHIT, CPC, has extensive experience in medical billing and health information management. Currently serving as a Managed Care Biller at National Vision Inc. since November 2021, Heather previously worked as a Medical Billing Specialist at Athens Heart Center, where responsibilities included conducting quality audits in various healthcare sectors. As an Owner of HeaRae's Cakery since January 2000, Heather specializes in creating specialty cakes and desserts. Heather's earlier roles include serving as a Medical Records Field Technician at CIOX Health and as a Patient Services Manager at Physiotherapy Associates, where duties encompassed office management, revenue cycle assistance, and patient access. Heather holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management Technology from Gwinnett Technical College and has completed medical transcription certification, along with education in music education.
