Prem Varma

Vice President Enterprise Architecture at National Vision

Prem Varma has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Prem started their career as an Associate Systems Analyst at Philip Morris USA in 1998. Prem then worked at IBM as a Senior IT Architect/Consultant, where they were responsible for the development and support of supply chain systems for various fortune 500 clients. Prem also attended the Technical Leadership Exchange as a top technical leader at IBM.

After that, Varma joined CapGemini as a Senior Consultant, where they served as a Technical Solution Architect for Georgia Pacific and helped implement a supply chain planning system that won the JDA Real Results "Best in Innovation" award.

Prem later joined Bank of America's Technology MBA Leadership program in 2010 before returning to Capgemini as a Manager. In this role, they managed a team of technical consultants for the implementation of supply and demand planning projects. Prem was also awarded Consultant of the Quarter for the Supply Chain practice.

Varma then joined Hibbett Sporting Goods as the Director of Application Development and Enterprise Architecture. Prem was responsible for the technical support and development of the entire application portfolio. During their tenure, major upgrades and cloud migrations were carried out for the top 20 applications, and they expanded the application development team.

Prem returned to Capgemini as a Senior Manager, leading the technical aspects of the implementation of JDA demand, fulfillment, and reporting at Southern Glazers Wines and Spirits. Prem developed system architecture, set up applications, and led a large team of consultants.

Most recently, Varma joined National Vision Inc. as the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture in November 2021.

Prem Varma completed their MBA in Operations Management and Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Finance and Information Systems from New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Prem'seducation history also includes attending Rye High School.
