Gary Hassen

Gary Hassen is an experienced conservation and development professional with a strong background in fundraising and partnership building. Currently serving as the Conservation Coordinator for The National Wild Turkey Federation since June 2021, Gary previously held the position of Chief Advancement Officer at the South Carolina Wildlife Partnership, focusing on connecting public hunters with private landowners for ethical hunting opportunities. Gary's extensive experience includes roles as Vice President of Development and Chief Development Officer for The Citadel Foundation, Director of Major Gifts at Furman University, and Director of Development at the University of South Carolina. Gary began a career in banking as Vice President at South Carolina Federal Savings Bank. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business from 1975 to 1979.
