Benjamin Kota has extensive legal experience with a focus on intellectual property and nonprofit law. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at the National Wildlife Federation since April 2013, Benjamin provides legal advice on various issues including compliance with public charity regulations, intellectual property, and employment. Previous roles include Counsel for Strategic Partnerships and Contracts at NWF and positions at multiple law firms where Benjamin handled IP litigation, patent prosecution, and counsel for biotechnology companies. Benjamin holds a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a BS in Biology from St. Bonaventure University.
