Lauren Wallace

Counsel, Reproductive Rights & Health at National Women's Law Center

Lauren Wallace (she/her) is Counsel for the Reproductive Rights & Health team where she focuses on expanding birth control access at the state level. Lauren also manages NWLC’s CoverHer hotline, a resource for individuals navigating contraceptive coverage issues with their health insurance plans.

Prior to joining NWLC, Lauren received her MPH from The George Washington University with a focus on public health policy. In between her MPH and receiving her JD from the University of Georgia School of Law, Lauren worked for the Lewin Group where she improved the operations of DC and Maryland’s state health insurance exchange.

Lauren has had the privilege of working in a range of settings, including the private sector, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia, Lambda Legal, and the Athens-Clarke County Attorney General’s Office – to name a few. She continues to center her work on ways law & policy can improve the public’s health. Lauren received her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and is a proud native of Houston, Texas – where Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion call home.
