A.j. Venter

A.J. Venter has a diverse work experience in the field of DevOps and system administration. Starting in 2007 as the Director of Product Development at OutKast Solutions, they later worked as the Chief Unix System Administrator at Intec Billing Systems. From there, they transitioned to roles as a Unix Platform Engineer at VisionOSS and a DevOps Engineer at Oracle. A.J. continued to work as a DevOps Engineer at various companies, including Allan Gray Proprietary Limited, wiGroup, takealot.com, SPAN Digital Innovation, and Provide Group. Most recently, they have been employed as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Nationale-Nederlanden, where they currently hold the position of DevOps Technical Team Lead since 2022.

A.J. Venter attended the University of Pretoria from 1999 to 2001, where they pursued a BA in English Literature with additional studies in Computer Science and Philosophy. A.J. later continued their education at the same university from 2000 to 2002, obtaining a BA degree with a secondary major in Computer Science. In 2023, they also received a certification in Effective Communication from ICM opleidingen & trainingen.
