Katherine Tan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic self-sufficiency, education, and community support. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Economic Self-Sufficiency & Education at the Nationalities Service Center since January 2022, Katherine has previously held roles such as Senior Manager and Matching Grant Manager within the same organization. Prior to this, Katherine worked at Turning Points for Children, where responsibilities included supervising a team of Resource Parent Support Specialists and managing a diverse caseload. Additional experience includes roles at Christians for Social Action and the International Rescue Committee, where Katherine developed community partnerships, coordinated volunteer efforts, and provided case management for refugee clients. Katherine holds a Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Eastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Hardin-Simmons University.
