Dr Eva-Maria Bongardt

Dr. Eva-Maria Bongardt serves as the Head of Digital Development at Nationalmuseum in Sweden since January 2023. Previously, Dr. Bongardt was the Deputy Head and involved in scientific research at Diözesanmuseum St. Afra from January 2019 to December 2022. Experience also includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at German Maritime Museum from March 2016 to January 2019 and as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Bremen from April 2017 to October 2018. Dr. Bongardt's career began with positions as an Assistant in Archaeology at Archbau and a Freelance Research Assistant at Theatermuseum Düsseldorf. Educational achievements include a PhD in Art History from Paderborn University (2015), doctoral studies at Freie Universität Berlin (2014), and a Master's degree in Art History, Medieval History, and Classical Archaeology from Ruhr University Bochum (2008). University studies in Art History were also undertaken at the University of Münster (2007).
