Eric Chan

Eric Chan began their work experience as a Java Developer at CGI in 2012, where they developed new modules for wealth management applications for clients TD Bank and BMO. Eric then worked at BlackBerry as a Java Web Services Consultant, coordinating system integration and providing guidance to new team members. At TD Bank, they participated in the NextGen mobile redesign project as a Java Web Services Consultant. Eric also worked at CIBC as a Senior Java Developer, designing and developing modules for the CBFE system and creating a Java SOA framework. Eric later joined the National Bank of Canada as a Senior Consultant, designing and developing a Java job scheduling framework. Eric then worked at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change as a Senior Consultant before joining RBC as a Lead Developer, where they oversaw implementations for the Enterprise Client Registry project and participated in the MidTier and Legacy Simplification Program. Eric then joined Scotiabank as a Solutions Architect, designing architecture patterns and solutions for Next Generation transaction delivery services. Eric also served as a Senior Technical Consultant, providing technical leadership and guidance for system migrations and reviewing network architecture and security. Eric worked at Bally's Interactive as a Technical Architect, undertaking various technical responsibilities and spearheading the deployment of new ventures. Eric's most recent work experience is at Nationwide Appraisal Services, where they serve as a Senior Java Developer and IVR Lead, leading the adoption of the Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) API and designing API ecosystems to modernize and simplify legacy services.

From 2002 to 2007, Eric Chan attended the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering with Honours and Coop as their field of study.
