Adolfo Etchegaray has a diverse work experience in the field of maternal fetal medicine and diagnostic prenatal treatment. Adolfo is currently serving as the Chief of the Section of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Prior to that, they held the position of Director for Diplomatura en Medicina Fetal at Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires. Adolfo was responsible for coordinating and teaching various courses related to fetal medicine. Adolfo also worked as an Auditor and Practical Examiner for the First Trimester Screening Program at The Fetal Medicine Foundation. Adolfo served as the Co-Director of the Fetal Surgery Program at the Programa de Cirugía Fetal, Hospital Universitario Austral. Adolfo's previous role includes being the Head of the Fetal Medicine Unit and a Fetal Surgeon at Hospital Universitario Austral. Additionally, they served as the President of the Sociedad Argentina de Diagnóstico Prenatal y Tratamiento. Adolfo has also worked as a Clinical Fellow and Honorary Sonographer for the NHS and as a Medical Staff at Clínica Menorca. Adolfo began their career at Hospital General de Agudos Dr. Juan A. Fernandez, where they served as the Chief Resident of Obstetrics and a Resident in Tocoginecology.
Adolfo Etchegaray has a diverse education history. From 1978 to 1990, they attended Colegio San Juan el Precursor and received a Bachiller degree. Adolfo then pursued their studies at the University of Buenos Aires, where they obtained a degree in Medicina in 2000. Adolfo continued their education at the same university and completed a degree in Medicina Especialista in Tocoginecología from 2001 to 2005. In 2006, they attended The Fetal Medicine Foundation and earned a Diplomatura in Medicina Fetal, specializing in the field of study. Adolfo further enhanced their knowledge by completing a Maestría in Efectividad Clínica from the University of Buenos Aires between 2017 and 2019. In addition to their formal education, Adolfo obtained various certifications, including Understanding Clinical Research: Behind the Statistics from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, and several certificates of competence from The Fetal Medicine Foundation, such as Invasive Procedures, Fetal Echocardiography, and Cervical Assessment, among others.
