Joanne Turner currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Nationwide Children's Hospital, starting in April 2024. Prior to this role, Joanne held positions at Texas Biomedical Research Institute from July 2017 to June 2024, where responsibilities included managing a research program focused on the immunology of M. tuberculosis infection and immunology of aging, as well as serving as Vice President for Research overseeing various research operations. From July 2003 to August 2017, Joanne was the BSL3 Program Director at The Ohio State University, managing a BSL3 program and providing essential training and incident response. Joanne is an academic leader with a BSc and PhD in Immunology and Biochemistry from the University of London.
