Liana Hernandez, M.S., is a Clinical Genomic Variant Scientist at Nationwide Children's Hospital since August 2022. Prior to this role, Liana served as a Junior Variant Scientist, as well as a Data Abstractor and Junior Clinical Data Abstractor at Tempus Labs, Inc. from April 2019 to August 2022. Liana's research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division - Human Genetics, where characterization of the effects of Conditional Response Culture media on Bronchial Epithelial Cells was conducted. Liana was also a PREP Research fellow at the University of Washington, focusing on gene mapping to identify loci related to hair-cell death resistance in zebrafish. Educationally, Liana holds a Master's degree in Human Genetics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Evolutionary Anthropology from The University of New Mexico.
