Irene Fellin

NATO Secretary General's Special Representative For Women Peace And Security at NATO

Irene Fellin currently serves as the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women Peace and Security, a position held since January 2022. Fellin's extensive experience includes roles as a Visiting Lecturer and Research Fellow at Durham University, and as an International Consultant with WIIS Italy. A gender consultant since 2014, Fellin has focused on peace and conflict research, UNSCR 1325, and gender in mediation. Previous positions also include Senior Research Fellow and Associate Fellow on Gender and Security at IAI, and various consulting roles with UN Women and Inclusive Security. Fellin holds a Master's degree in Gender and Women's Studies from Middle East Technical University and has a strong academic background in cultural heritage and museology.
