Frontend Developer at Natural Cycles

Nikita Popov is a frontend developer who has worked on a variety of projects over the years. Nikita began their career as a frontend developer with Soft Flow Ltd., where they worked on a new food quality instrument project team for six months. Nikita then moved to the instrument platform team, where they worked for 15 months designing, developing, and improving framework-agnostic Lit web components for internal instrument platform. Nikita also updated the React demo playground app and existing Angular instrument apps during their time with Soft Flow Ltd.

In October 2017, Nikita began working as a frontend developer with Lanit-Tercom. Nikita worked on the FossAssure team for 1.5 years, during which they developed Angular Material + DevExtreme web applications. Nikita also took on the role of QA tester and wrote Selenium end-to-end tests. In addition, they worked with Microsoft Azure platform (DevOps, AppInsights) and handled minor C# Backend bugs and features. Nikita also wrote unit tests for the backend.

Nikita then spent a year as a fullstack developer with Lanit-Tercom on the Amur Tigers project. Nikita implemented an Angular web application with NGINX + Express + PostgreSQL backend from concept through deployment. Nikita also developed responsive webpages with interactive Leaflet.JS maps and images processing for tiger routes tracking.

After six months working on the EMIAS and Leap projects as a frontend developer, Nikita left Lanit-Tercom in November 2020 to join Natural Cycles as a frontend developer.

Nikita Popov has a Master's degree in Applied Maths and Physics from Saint Petersburg State University. Nikita also has a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the same school.

Their manager is Kirill Groshkov, VP, Technology. They work with Stina Andersson - Senior Software Engineer, Enny Hellsén Johansson - Software Engineer, and Juraj Orszag - Senior Software Engineer.
