Aaron Amstutz has worked in the technology industry since 1998. Aaron began their career at Caterpillar as a Technical Steward, where they designed new liquid filters, developed new rubber components, and formulated high temperature rubber compounds. Aaron also acted as a full-time technology and patent searcher. Their last assignment at Caterpillar was in the development of lightweight composites for structural applications and the exploration of newer material classes. In 2017, they took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Natural Fiber Welding. In this role, they work to improve the way biomaterials are processed by using novel solvent systems to make natural fiber yarns and textiles stronger while minimizing the use of chemicals.
Aaron Amstutz obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science - Polymer Specialty from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1996. Aaron then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in the same field, which they received in 1998 from the same university.
