Product Circularity Engineer at Natural Fiber Welding

Dr. Stephen Taylor has been working in the field of soil science since 2014. Stephen began their career as a Research Technician Intern at Miller Research, LLC. Following this, they were a Soil Scientist, M.S. Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University from 2014-2016, where they managed a team of 4-15 field technicians, organized, sampled and analyzed three, 25-acre experimental fields for soil nitrogen, electrical conductivity, topography and wheat performance criteria. In 2019, they acted as a Technical Consultant for Compost Manufacturing Alliance LLC, providing field testing of compostable food packaging materials in industrial compost facilities and ASTM D6400 and D6868 technical support. From 2020-2021, Dr. Taylor worked as an Application Engineer for Campbell and currently works as a Product Circularity Engineer for Natural Fiber Welding.

Stephen Taylor, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Stephen obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2014. Stephen then went on to obtain their Master's Degree in Soil Sciences from Washington State University from 2014 to 2016. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Soil Sciences from Washington State University from 2016 to 2020. Stephen also obtained a Compost Facility Operator Training certification from the Washington Organic Recycling Council (WORC) in October 2018.
