Christian Linnell is an accomplished product lead with extensive experience in product management and design across various industries. Currently serving as Product Lead at Toka Tū Ake EQC since August 2022, Christian previously held the role of Senior Product Owner at the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) where focus was on data management. A background in product management includes significant contributions at Volpara Solutions and Trade Me, where Christian designed and delivered mobile applications that have served over 300,000 New Zealanders in their job search. Earlier roles include User Experience Lead at Performance Lab, Design Strategist at Lee ter Wal Design, and Solution Architect at Auckland Council, showcasing a strong foundation in UX, strategic design, and innovative solutions that have resulted in substantial cost savings. Christian's career began with systems design and quality assurance at XSOL Ltd. and a position as a Reservations Consultant at Air New Zealand.

Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake

The Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tu Ake is New Zealand’s unique response to its geological environment. NHC Toka Tū Ake provides insurance cover for damage to residential property caused by earthquakes, landslips, volcanic eruptions, hydrothermal activity and tsunamis. All New Zealanders with home and/or contents insurance automatically receive NHCover. Other key functions include: Administering the Natural Disaster Fund, facilitating and supporting research to help build understanding of natural disasters and how to mitigate damage, and implementing education initiatives using school programmes, advertising and collateral.
