Thomas Scurfield

Thomas Scurfield is an experienced Economic Analyst at the Natural Resource Governance Institute since March 2016. Scurfield has a strong background in consultancy and has held positions with various organizations, including a consultant role for the Department for International Development and as a Mining Revenue Advisor for the ODI Budget Strengthening Initiative in Sierra Leone. Scurfield's expertise extends to designing extractive governance programs and advising on licensing and taxation in Sierra Leone's extractive industries. With a Master's degree in Development Economics from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham, Scurfield has built a solid foundation in economics and development policy throughout an extensive career.
