Amin Asadollahi currently serves as the Deputy Director at Natural Resources Canada, overseeing strategic fuels policy and advising on Canada's biofuels strategy. Prior to this role, Amin founded Horizon Advisors, providing strategic advice on climate change and nature conservation. As Lead for Climate Mitigation at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, Amin developed North America's climate mitigation program and produced significant research for the Canadian government. Earlier experience includes directing projects at the Pembina Institute focused on reducing the oil sands sector's environmental impact, and serving as Senior Advisor at Natural Resources Canada, delivering policy advice across energy, mining, and forestry sectors. Amin holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Stuttgart and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Concordia University.
