Najib Djamai

Remote Sensing Physical Scientist at Natural Resources Canada

Najib Djamai is a Remote Sensing Physical Scientist at Natural Resources Canada since December 2023, and has been a Remote Sensing Scientist at NorthStar Earth & Space Inc. since March 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing from October 2017 to March 2020, and as a Lecturer in Remote Sensing at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières from January 2016 to April 2018. Najib also held a postdoctoral researcher position at Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue in 2017, and was a Lecturer in Geo-positioning at Université de Sherbrooke from September 2013 to December 2014. Earlier, Najib worked as a Senior Engineer at the Tunisian National Institute of Meteorology in late 2008. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Remote Sensing from Université de Sherbrooke (2010-2015), a Master's degree in Geomatics from Université Laval (2009-2010), a Bachelor's degree in Hydrometeorology from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tunis (2005-2008), and a Bachelor's degree in Physics-Technology from IPEIN (2003-2005).
