Nicole Allegri serves as Deputy Director at Natural Resources Canada, focusing on Indigenous engagement within Nòkwewashk since June 2023. Previously, Nicole worked at Canadian Heritage as a Manager supporting the implementation of the Indigenous Languages Act from April 2021 to June 2023. Before that, in the role of Senior Manager at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, responsibilities included leading coordination with the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples and advancing Post-Daniels reconciliation. Additional experience includes senior managerial roles in Indigenous Services Canada, where Nicole strengthened on-reserve education transformation, and in Correctional Service of Canada, where the focus was on Aboriginal initiatives and large-scale evaluations. Nicole's early career included positions at the Indian Residential Schools Adjudication Secretariat and Transport Canada, concentrating on organizational wind-down and evaluation planning, respectively. Nicole holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Carleton University.
