Lead - Climate Resilience And Health, India Program at Natural Resources Defense Council

Abhiyant Tiwari has a diverse work experience in various fields including public health, disaster management, and health and climate resilience. Abhiyant is currently working as the Lead - Health & Climate Resilience for the India Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor at the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management and as a Public Health Researcher at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). Abhiyant has also worked as a Public Health Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Public Health, PHFI, and held roles as Branch In-Charge at Vipul MedCorp TPA Pvt. Ltd. and Head- Provider Management at MediAssit India TPA Pvt. Ltd. Abhiyant's career started as a Medical Director at Maitri Hospital Pvt. Ltd. Overall, their work experience reflects a strong background in public health research, disaster management, and health administration.

Abhiyant Tiwari obtained a Bachelor's degree in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) as well as a Diploma in Pharmacy from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University between 1999 and 2006. In 2012, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar for a year. In 2015, they completed a fellowship program in Environmental and Sustainable Development Leadership at Lead - Inspiring leaders for a sustainable world. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, Abhiyant attended Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where they earned a Master's degree in Public Health with a specialization in Environmental Health Science.
