Amanda Maxwell has extensive experience in international relations and advocacy, currently serving as the Managing Director of the International Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since June 2009, with previous roles including Deputy Director and Latin America Project Director. Prior to NRDC, Amanda worked as an Account Manager at Avantgarde Communications and served as a Senior Teacher and Workshop Leader at James Cook Languages. Amanda began a career in public relations as a Publicist at St. Martin's Press. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Politics & Economics from Charles University and a Bachelor's degree in History and Spanish from Middlebury College.
