Shanna Keown

Shanna Keown is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in grant writing, program management, and institutional advancement, primarily within non-profit organizations focused on environmental and public health issues. Currently serving as a Senior Grant Writer at the Natural Resources Defense Council since December 2018 and as a Program Manager at Echoing Green since July 2018, Shanna develops strategic documents related to climate ecosystems while supporting social entrepreneurs. Previous roles include consulting for the Wildlife Conservation Society, where Shanna managed donor portfolios and wrote proposals, as well as research assistance at Columbia University analyzing health impacts of pollution in Ghana. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences from Columbia University and a BA with honors in International Studies from Kenyon College.
