David B. Fogel

Dr. David Fogel has over 30 years of experience in applying computational intelligence to solving real-world problems. He received a Ph.D. in engineering from UCSD in 1992 and a B.S. in mathematics (statistics) from UCSB in 1985. Dr. Fogel’s successful efforts include practical advancements in defense and homeland security, supply chain and logistics management, breast cancer detection, drug discovery, financial forecasting, and even video games. Dr. Fogel is an IEEE Fellow, and an award-winning scientist, recognized by the IEEE, Sigma Xi, SPIE, and other prestigious organizations. In 2009, he was named one of the top 100 most influential alumni in the then 50-year history of the University of California at San Diego.
