Joe DeWolf has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and conservation. Joe started their career as a Park Attendant at the County of San Diego in 2008 and worked there until 2009. Following that, they interned as a Backcountry Ranger at Yellowstone National Park for a few months. Joe then joined the San Diego Botanic Garden as a Gardener from 2009 to 2012. Joe then worked as a Gardener with the City and County of San Francisco for a year. In 2013, Joe returned to the San Diego Botanic Garden and worked as a Gardener until 2014. Joe then joined the City of San Diego's Open Spaces Division as a Park Ranger and worked there until 2015. Since 2015, Joe has been working as an Associate Biologist in the Community Restoration Program at the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy.
Joe DeWolf attended San Diego State University from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology. Following this, from 2010 to 2012, they enrolled at MiraCosta College and pursued studies in Horticulture.
