Christopher Thomas Scott, PhD, MA, currently serves as the Dalton Tomlin Chair in Medical Ethics and Health Policy and Associate Director of Health Policy at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine. With extensive experience in the field, Scott has contributed as a Contributing Editor for Nature Biotechnology since 2008, and previously directed the Program on Stem Cells in Society at Stanford University, focusing on ethics and policy related to regenerative medicine. Scott's academic background includes a PhD in Policy, Bioethics, and Neuroethics from The University of British Columbia, a Master’s degree in Policy and Bioethics from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Biological Sciences and Neuropsychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Scott has held leadership roles in various organizations, including co-founding and serving as CEO of The Stem Cell Advisors and founding Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Acumen Sciences. Scott also held the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor at the University of California, San Francisco, overseeing legal affairs and technology transfer.
