Jeremy Weigand

Research Scientist II at Nature's Fynd

Jeremy Weigand has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and development.

Starting in 2012, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Penn State University, where they developed a method of compounding fillers with high-performance thermoplastics for injection molding. Jeremy analyzed samples using techniques such as SEM and DSC and designed test geometries and molds for use in a micro molding machine. Jeremy continued their work at Penn State as a Research Intern until 2015.

In 2014, Jeremy also worked as a Research Intern at SKF, gaining further experience in scientific research.

From 2015 to 2019, they pursued their education at The University of Southern Mississippi, working as a Graduate Student.

In 2019, Jeremy joined Moxietec as a Polymer Scientist, contributing their expertise in polymer science until 2021.

Currently, they are employed at Nature's Fynd as a Research Scientist, starting in July 2021 and continuing to the present. Jeremy holds the position of Research Scientist II, demonstrating their growth and expertise in the field.

Throughout their career, Jeremy has developed a diverse range of skills and experiences in scientific research and development, specifically in the areas of polymer science and materials analysis.

Jeremy Weigand obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Jeremy then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Polymer Science and Engineering at The University of Southern Mississippi from 2015 to 2020.
