Shara Howie

Shara Howie is an experienced Program Manager at NatureServe, focusing on the integration of conservation considerations into transportation planning and project development since January 2001. Previously, Shara led a team as Director of Heritage Data Services, managing biodiversity data and analytical products, and directed activities at The Nature Conservancy, where responsibilities included supervising staff and managing a central data exchange program. Early in the career, Shara worked as a Museum Technician at the Smithsonian Institution, contributing to inventory and sorting of biological collections, following the educational attainment of a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from George Mason University.
