James "Nick" Knowlton

James "Nick" Knowlton has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. James "Nick" started their career at IGHS District 0199 as the Head Tennis Coach from March 2010 to November 2010. In 2011, they joined 3M as a Technical Aide in the Commercial Graphics Division, where they worked from February 2011 to July 2014. Following this, they joined NatureWorks as an Applications Engineer from July 2014 to September 2016. James "Nick" then transitioned to the role of Research Scientist from September 2016 to April 2018. From April 2018 to April 2022, they worked as a Polymer Plant Improvement Engineer at NatureWorks. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Polymer Improvement Engineer at NatureWorks, starting in April 2022.

James "Nick" Knowlton pursued their education with a strong focus on science and engineering. From 2008 to 2009, they attended Gustavus Adolphus College, where they studied chemistry. In 2010, they attended Inver Hills Community College, earning transfer credits in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) system. Later, from 2011 to 2014, Knowlton pursued a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
