Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson is a seasoned risk and control professional with extensive experience in the finance sector. Currently serving as a Risk and Control Business Partner - Franchise Finance at NatWest Group since June 2020, Michael oversees a team that collaborates with Finance Directors on various risk and control matters. Previously, Michael held the position of Head of Risk and Control at NatWest Markets, managing a team that provided SOX and Operational Risk services. Michael's career began at RBS, where titles included Head of Risk and Control for CPB and numerous roles in operational risk and regulatory reporting. Prior to RBS, Michael worked as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, managing a diverse portfolio of clients. Michael holds a postgraduate diploma in Accountancy from Queen's University Belfast and a BA Hons in Accountancy from Ulster University.
