Michael Christoph Hammer

Michael Christoph Hammer serves as the CFO at BMW i Ventures since January 2017, specializing in venture capital investments in high-performance, purpose-driven companies. In addition to this role, Michael holds several investor positions at companies such as Nauto, Boston Metal, Ridecell, and PureCycle Technologies, while also acting as a Board Observer for Ridecell. Previously, Michael was a Board Observer at Proterra Inc and worked as an Investment Manager for the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, where Michael Christoph focused on impact investing. Additional experience includes a role as Investment Manager at BMW Group, overseeing a substantial asset management portfolio and implementing alternative investment strategies, along with consulting for large institutional clients at Mercer. Michael holds a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics and Economics from Ulm University.
