Marcel Ocampo

Marcel Ocampo is a Partner and Market Director at Nava. Marcel has over 18 years of experience in the industry, and has been with Nava since January 2012. Prior to joining Nava, Marcel was with Marsh & McLennan Agency - West for 8 years, where they held the position of Client Executive. In this role, Marcel was responsible for identifying creative solutions to employer sponsored benefit plans, developing new business, and creating overall encompassing solutions to address client needs in compliance, funding, wellness, etc. Marcel was also a member of MMA Rx Solutions Producer Advisory Council. In December 2020, Marcel was announced as an incoming Principal at Nava, effective January 1, 2021.

Prior to working at Marsh & McLennan Agency - West, Marcel was with Brosnan & Associates Financial & Insurance Services, LLC for 8 years, where they held the position of Vice President. In this role, Marcel was responsible for developing and fostering relationships with carriers, vendors, and key accounts, assisting in sales training and management of producers, designing internal sales processes, and overall strategy. Marcel also previously worked as a Financial Consultant with Tax & Financial Group for 1 year and as Tech Support/Sales Support with ProcessClaims for 1 year.

Marcel Ocampo has a degree in Social Science from UC Irvine and is certified as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Compensation Management Specialist, Group Benefits Associate, CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and Group Benefits Disability Specialist from various organizations. Marcel also has a life and health insurance license from the California Department of Insurance.
