Andrew Cochran

Andrew Cochran is a seasoned design and technology professional with extensive experience in civic tech and design roles. Currently serving as a Senior Designer and Frontend Engineer at Nava since October 2020, Andrew previously held several significant positions, including Director and Designer at the NYC Department of City Planning's Planning Labs from July 2017 to October 2020, where progressive civic tech values were embraced. Prior to that, Andrew was the Lead Designer/Developer at the New York City Council, contributing to digital inclusion initiatives. Andrew's career also includes a role as Design & Creative Director at OpenPlans, where contributions were made to various civic engagement tools. Starting as Graphic Designer at Circle At Seven Studio and Assistant Art Director at Louisville Magazine, Andrew possesses a diverse background in design and project management. A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting was obtained from the Maryland Institute College of Art, enhancing design expertise.
