Jacob Ruybalid

Jacob Ruybalid has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Jacob currently serves as the Chief Information Officer for Navajo Engineering & Construction Authority, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as the IT Department Manager for the same company from March 2017 to December 2020.

Before joining Navajo Engineering & Construction Authority, Jacob worked as the IT Department Manager for Jim McCaffery Consultants from January 2000 to March 2017. In this role, they were responsible for information assurance and data center operations, as well as planning and implementing new facility deployments and managing multiple satellite office installations.

Jacob's previous experience includes working as a Project Manager / System Administrator for DigiiNet from January 1998 to January 2000. At DigiiNet, they managed Linux-based bandwidth control and routing systems and performed tower equipment installation and maintenance.

Jacob also worked as a System Administrator for CPTNet from September 1997 to January 1998. In this role, they were responsible for the system operation of a small-scale ISP utilizing Lucent PortMaster and Linux equipment, as well as customer support.

Prior to these positions, Jacob served as an Operations Manager for Matrix X Internet Solutions from January 1997 to September 1997 and as a Website Developer / System Administrator for CyberPort Station from January 1995 to January 1997. At CyberPort Station, they developed websites using Perl CGI, Apache, and SH and served as a system administrator for a BSD-based dial-up access and hosting system utilizing Radius authentication.

Jacob Ruybalid attended The University of New Mexico School of Medicine from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in Emergency Medical Technician. Their field of study focused on Emergency Medicine.
