Aaron Dobson has a diverse work experience in the fields of engineering, program management, and naval operations. Aaron is currently the Director of Engineering and Maintenance at Commander Naval Surface Group - Western Pacific, where they oversee the engineering, maintenance, and repair of naval vessels in Japan. Prior to this role, they served as the Principal Assistant Program Manager at Naval Sea Systems Command, where they worked on the development of expeditionary fast transport and medical ships. Aaron also had experience as a Technical Program Manager at NAVWAR and as a Wireless/RF Engineering Program Manager at Apple. Earlier in their career, they served as a Project Manager and Production and Waterfront Operations Officer at Naval Sea Systems Command, a Graduate Student at MIT, and an Assistant Program Manager & Systems Engineer at SPAWAR. Aaron began their professional journey as a Navy Pilot in the US Navy.

Aaron Dobson earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 2005. Aaron then pursued further education, completing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2014. Simultaneously, they also obtained an Engineer's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during the same time period. In addition to their educational achievements, Aaron has acquired multiple certifications, including Engineering, Level 2 from the Defense Acquisition University in 2021, Funds Administrator from the United States Department of Defense in 2014, Program Management, Level 3 from the Defense Acquisition University in 2009, and an FE Engineer's License from the State of Maryland in 2005.
